In todays workshop we have been looking into style guides for our websites. The aim was to think about my design decisions and describe the governing characteristics of my website. I needed to think about font choice, colours, button style etc and create a sheet showing the choices I have made.
This is my final style sheet, I have shown the colour palette I am going for of black, grey and purple I have also mentioned the RGB codes for these so when it comes to coding, I will automatically know what number to input. The aim of the colour I have chosen is trying to be unique and individual to my website, trying to get away from other coffee brands such as Costa or Starbucks. Making it so it has no previous connotations of another brand or identity. As for my type, the main heading font will be Ostrich sans, I have chosen this as through research, have found coffee website try to use either a hand-written style font or something structured (as ostrich sans is). For my logo I have gone for the hand-written element, while also showing that the logo is flexible enough to be scaled up or down as needed. I have shown how the navigation buttons would work. A hover element would be used as well as a drop down menu for the coffees.
