Responsive, Numiko Finals - OUGD503

The idea of my site was to encourage more people to donate and adopt animals from kennels, focusing on the Battersea charity. I wanted a website that would focus primarily on giving and helping the animals and removing information such as 'news' and 'shop'. The aim was to create a secondary website for Battersea that would cater to these needs. I am really pleased with the overall outcome of my site. I think removing the unnecessary information and getting to the point quickly and effectively will make the website more appealing to viewers. I am glad I have taken on the same colour scheme of Batterseas original logo as it keeps a clear link to what the website is about.
I think if taken the interaction elements of this site would really well if coded. I think addressing the issue of the animals looking like a gallery has worked well as now each is animal is personalised with their own story that is now the first thing the viewer sees. Having a rollover image so people can see more of the animal will create more of a connection, and the idea of having the option to give or donate the animal is obvious to see., maybe creating an incentive? The interaction with the the navigation and icons explaining the weekly or monthly figures will also show the public what it is there doing, showing them they are making a difference. I like how the animals on the homepage would change to who had been at the centre the longest, giving each animal a fair chance.
The overall aesthetic is clean and to the point, as well as using personalised and emotional techniques through imagery and interaction to attract viewers. I think I have achieve what I set out to do and work well as a functioning website.
