Design Practice 2 - Studio Brief 1 (Part 1) : Design Museum - OUGD505

In the Easter break I took a trip to London to go see the current exhibition 'Designer of the Year 2015' at the Design Museum. There were some extremely interesting pieces of work ranging from graphic design, furniture design, digital design and much more. Due to the vast amount of range there were some pieces I thought had much more meaning than others. Although I liked the majority of work, I found some pieces to have more depth that could benefit lives compared to others. In saying that, everything was design extremely well and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. In the 505 module I am focusing on biodiversity and biomimicry, what intrigued my straight away was the piece by Alexandra Ginseberg who has focused on such things. I thought this piece was extremely interesting as it questions the ideals I myself am looking into. Her take on organisms and the overall idea and design was extremely interesting to read and look at:
