When visiting the V&A for the Disobedient Objects exhibition, the opportunity arose to take a look around the Natural History Museum. There was an Ecology section, which focused a lot on the environment and biodiversity as a whole. There were a number of different sections, showing both life on the ocean as well as on land. It was interesting to learn about the different ecosystems and what and how they are at risk. There were sections on population and the decline on certain species due to how the climate has changed.
An interesting section within the ecology space were the effects and explanation of the planets and global warming. All this information was extremely interesting and insightful in terms of information and acted as a 'summing' up of the environment as a whole.
"Every animal, plant and insect is linked to its environment and the living things around it. All need energy from the sun and exchange nutrients with the earth, air and water. Together all these components make an ecosystem. They depend on each other for their survival. Change to a single part affects the rest of the ecosystem."
