Responsive, 'Best Buds' Florist Brief, Finals and Evaluation - OUGD503

These are the final outcomes for Best Buds. I am extremely happy with the overall outcome of my designs and so was the client. They stated if they had a bigger budget they would take all of the extra stationary however for now they just need the business cards. I was really happy with their feedback as it is just what the client wanted. I have found with this brief I have pushed myself into working with different mediums, not going digital too soon and develop in more of a hands-on way. I always enjoy exploring options away from the mac and doing this brief has showed me I need to do this more often. I have never been a confident drawer, but feel the lose illustration style has fitted well with the feminine and delicate quality Best Buds wanted. This is furthered by the watercolour used instead of applying block colour digitally. What has made the brief more personal has been asking the client for the bouquets to describe Best Buds. It gave me an insight into the types of flowers to use as well as the colour scheme. I think it now gives a more personal touch between the designs and the clients. If I had more time I could continue on with this brief, developing things like a shop mock-up, more promotional material etc. I have extremely enjoyed this brief as it is so different to other briefs I have done, and working with a client has given me a great insight into how to work and meet their needs within a brief.
